Etihad Rail Freight, a subsidiary of Etihad Rail, which is responsible for the development and operation of the UAE National Rail Network, has entered into a Haulage Services Agreement with Trojan General Contracting, a prominent UAE construction firm known for its expertise in large-scale infrastructure, civil engineering, and building projects across various sectors. This collaboration aims to deliver comprehensive transportation and logistics services for Trojan's aggregates. This partnership underscores Etihad Rail Freight’s dedication to enhancing connectivity and offering seamless, end-to-end supply chain solutions that promote efficiency and reliability throughout the UAE. As part of this agreement, Etihad Rail Freight will facilitate first and last-mile services to transport aggregates from Trojan’s quarries located in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. These materials will be moved via its Al Ghail Dry Port rail terminal in RAK to the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) and Dubai Industrial City (DIC). Additionally, Etihad Rail Freight will provide secure storage solutions for Trojan General Contracting’s products at its Al Ghail Dry Port terminal in RAK, as well as at its facilities in ICAD and DIC. Gunther J. Ferk, CEO of Etihad Rail Freight, remarked on the partnership: “This collaboration aligns with our mission to enhance the UAE’s logistics infrastructure while prioritizing sustainability and safety. By utilizing our National Rail Network to connect essential industrial hubs, we are decreasing reliance on road transport, alleviating truck traffic, and minimizing our environmental impact. “In doing so, we offer our clients streamlined, efficient, and reliable transportation options, further solidifying Etihad Rail Freight’s position as a vital facilitator of economic growth and connectivity within the UAE.”
